Take a magical trip to Neverland with Lincoln’s best panto this Christmas
11th December 2023 - 2nd January 2024
Jamie Marcus Productions Ltd, in association with The Drill, is excited to announce their brand-new pantomime ‘The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan & the Revenge of Captain Hook!’ with an amazing, diverse cast and supporting local talent.
After last year’s sell-outrun with ‘Rapunzel’, Lincoln’s best panto is bringing back a sensational sequel to J M Barrie’s ‘Peter Pan’ to The Drill for 2023!
‘The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan & the Revenge of Captain Hook’ tells the tale of what happened after the Darlings made their first visit to Neverland. 15 years on, Wendy is now an explorer extraordinaire, whilst Hook is still trying to ensnare the infamous boy that never grew up!
The team at Jamie Marcus Productions Ltd were keen to bring a new take on the classic tale for Lincoln audiences, whilst continuing to deliver their well-loved brand of traditional panto. This year’s show is guaranteed to be packed with the same successful mix of family fun, laughter, songs, and special effects that’s kept audiences coming back to The Drill's panto for the past 16 years.
Favourite familiar faces, dazzling costumes (all made inhouse from items found at charity shops), beautiful scenery, and breathtaking special effects make Lincoln’s best panto the perfect traditional Christmas treat for the whole family.
The Drill and Jamie Marcus Productions Ltd are both looking forward to welcome back by popular demand everyone’s favourite Dame, James Campbell as The Jolly Roger’s cook, ‘Dame Booty Barnacles’. In addition to giving Lincoln a whistlestop tour of his glittering Dame wardrobe again, James will once again be directing this year’s panto and he’s thrilled to be back! James commented:
I’m excited to be coming back to Lincoln for my 11th panto at The Drill, playing Dame Booty Barnacles. I’m also delighted to be directing once again, and audiences can expect the much-loved mix of fabulous dance routines, well-known songs, and of course, plenty of hilarious panto comedy!
For the past couple of years audiences have been treated to a star of both the big and small screens in their midst, in the form of local film actor Craig Garner. Craig couldn’t wait to be part of this year’s production once again for another Christmas full of fun! He’s returning as ‘Captain Hook’, and there’s sure to be plenty of laughs instore. Audiences may remember that Craig began his acting career back in 2007 in The Drill’s panto and has gone on to enjoy a success in blockbuster films such as ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, ‘Pokémon’ and Snow White & The Huntsman’. Craig is delighted to be back in his hometown and once again this Christmas.
Jamie Marcus Productions Ltd are thrilled to welcome the wonderful Charles M Duke and Lilia Wood to the cast as our here, ‘Peter Pan’ and his trusted fairy friend ‘Tinks’. Lincoln audiences might recognise real-life hero Charles from his appearance on ITV’s Loose Women and collaboration with TV’s Matt Lucas on his popular YouTube Chanel. Charles has Cystic Fibrosis and 5 years ago, underwent a double lung transplant. He’s not let that stop him from pursuing his love of performing, and not only does he regularly perform in pantos, concerts and cruises, but he also has his own successful Sir Elton John tribute act, performing across the world.
Jordan Shiel and Emma Clare who played Itchy Scabbington and Mother Gothel in ‘Rapunzel’ last year will also return as the lovable Mr Smee ad the courageous Wendy Darling.
So come and find out whether the dastardly Captain Hook will finally take his revenge on our plucky hero Peter Pan, or whether (with the help of his friends Wendy and Tinks,) he’ll escape Hook’s evil clutches once again.
