Krazy Races Returns to Lincoln by Popular Demand!

The secret's out! After an unforgettable debut in September, Krazy Races is making a grand return to Lincoln on Sunday 22nd June 2025, in partnership with Lincoln Business Improvement Group. This time, it's set to be even bigger and bolder! The much-loved, free-to-attend soapbox derby is back by popular demand, promising a day of thrilling races, community spirit, and plenty of fun.

Krazy Races, a national award-winning event, has earned its place as one of the most exciting and Action-packed events in the UK. After a spectacular 2024, which saw over 100,000 visitors, 200 teams and more than £150,000 raised for charity, the soapbox derby series is once again gearing up to bring its unique blend of creativity, competition, and charity fundraising to Lincoln.

This year, we're inviting a maximum of 40 local teams to design, build, and race their own handcrafted soapboxes in front of a roaring crowd of up to 20,000 spectators. Expect heart-pumping thrills as racers tackle tricky chicanes, hair-raising obstacles, and the unpredictable nature of the course – all while striving for the coveted title of Krazy Races champion.

The 2025 edition of Krazy Races will be bigger and better than ever before, with the entire city buzzing with excitement. Local businesses, entertainers, and food vendors will join the fun, creating an unforgettable day for families, friends, and race enthusiasts alike.

Applications for local teams open 8am on Monday 17th February. Organisers are looking for a diverse range of competitors – from charities and local businesses to individual racers ready to take on the challenge. With a knockout competition and multiple trophies and prizes up for grabs, it’s going to be a thrilling race to the finish line. And of course, all participants and spectators are encouraged to raise funds for a great cause, with the event’s official charity partner to be announced early in the new year.

Last year, team spaces sold out within hours, so interested teams are urged to be race-ready when team registration opens this Monday!
