Doug Hyde: One Love | The 20th Anniversary Tour at Trent Galleries
For two remarkable decades Doug Hyde has been at the forefront of British contemporary art, championing positivity and inclusion through his life affirming artworks. This summer he will celebrate this milestone with a spectacular UK tour and he would like to share this significant moment with his many collectors and friends.
Doug will be making a personal appearance at Trent Galleries Lincoln on Saturday 19th August from 1.00-3.00 pm.

The multi award-winning star of the art world will be in the gallery celebrating the launch of his new collection One Love. Doug has created a vibrant, whimsical array of originals, limited editions and sculpture which tell stories of day-to-day life with wit, charm, style, and honesty. The new collection is brimming with all those characters and characteristics that we have come to expect, offering plenty of opportunity to start or build a Doug Hyde art collection.
Since he was named as the UK’s Artist of the Year in 2005, Doug Hyde has gone on to inspire a generation of art collectors. Described in a BBC news broadcast as the most popular living artist in the UK, he has been the subject of numerous books and has created commemorative works for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, as well as being appointed official artist to England Rugby. Doug has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities including the NSPCC, Children in Need, and the NHS Charities together urgent appeal with specially created artwork.
This celebrated artist enjoyed a meteoric rise from virtual unknown to the UK's foremost artistic presence has been meteoric. Since his now iconic pastel image of a smiling face first enchanted a nation of art lovers in 2003, he has gained a huge following around the world, winning an impressive range of awards, media coverage and celebrity collectors. As his reputation has grown, his original work has become increasingly sought after, and his status as one of the UK’s most collectable artists has been undeniable for over a decade.
Doug’s wonderfully warm personality and fund of anecdotes about the inspiration behind his work have won him huge popularity in the collector’s community, and he is always delighted to pose for photographs or personalise artwork for his many admirers.
