Lincoln is set to get a little wackier as Krazy Races comes to the city! Krazy Races is a free to attend, national award winning soapbox derby event, aiming to bring all manner of wild and zany races to Lincoln.
Lincoln is set to get a little wackier next year as Krazy Races comes to the City on Sunday 15th September 2024!
Krazy Races is a free to attend, national award winning soapbox derby event, aiming to bring all manner of wild and zany races to towns & cities across the U.K and beyond, while raising substantial funds for local charities.
The popular soapbox derby event has welcomed over 150,000 visitors and raised over £100,000 for local charities in 2023 alone with events across the country.
Krazy Races is now on the lookout for 20-40 local teams to take on the challenge in Lincoln. The event sees a mixture of individual, charity and business teams design, build and then race their handcrafted soap box in front of up to 20,000 locals.
Lincoln Krazy Races will be the first of its kind to be held in the City. The racing route will contain chicanes, obstacles and more with racers expected to be cheered on by over 15,000 locals.

Get ready for an unforgettable day as soapboxes race down Flaxengate, past the Lincoln Museum, with the iconic Cathedral providing a stunning backdrop.
Join thousands of spectators from across Lincoln and beyond to cheer on our KRAZY, WACKY, and outrageous soapbox racers at the FIRST EVER Lincoln Krazy Races. Our amateur teams will be out in full force, competing to be the best dressed, showcasing the most creative designs, and racing their soapbox karts fueled by nothing more than krazy courage, wacky inspiration, gravity, and a bit of luck!
As well as fantastic races, Krazy Races are looking to work with local stakeholders and businesses to bring together entertainers, food stalls and more, giving families a fantastic day to remember. Krazy Races have worked with some big names across the country including; theatres, manufacturers, car dealers, educational institutes and even Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Organisers are hoping to work with businesses of all sizes in Lincoln and the surrounding areas.
Lincoln BIG have teamed up with Sarah Belcher Events Limited, the organisers of Krazy Races, to bring this unique event to Lincoln after the tremendous success of the previous events, and will be working closely with the team on the event.

Applications for teams to enter are open, with event organisers looking for 20-40 teams to enter the race in a knockout style competition with multiple trophies and prizes. Teams and spectators are encouraged to raise as much money as possible for charity, and early next year, the event will announce its official Lincoln Krazy Races headline charity.
